I'll take a gamble and say that this is Bob Johnson's Cobra CSX 2494 at the 1964 USRRC Meadowdale GT Race judging by the straw hat in the background, however I am more than happy to stand corrected.
The mid-sixties saw a proliferation of wheelstanding pickups. Forward or backward, coming or going, it didn't matter as long as the front wheels were pointed toward the sky.
While the rest of the world got groovy, Hubert Platt and the boys just kept shifting gears. Forget peace, love andall that long-haired stuff, The Georgia Shaker was still sporting more grease up top than under the hood.
