Restyling The Future

Cadillac's 1959 Cyclone concept was a jet age dream from the top of its bubble canopy to the very tips of its rocketship fins. This cleverly restyled version takes it into customland with a longer roofline and a sneaky lowering job.

Brilliant !

Calling All Customs

The late 1950's heralded a new era in custom cars. Gone were the days of tastefully restyled vehicles. Wild panel paint jobs and every imaginable electronic gizmo were the last word in cold war cool. Reel to reel tape players, portable record players and telephones vied for the all important show point. Just whom you could speak to on one of these marvels of modern communication remains a mystery. Larry Watson perhaps ?

Leaving On A Jet Plane

Shelby's first 427 powered GT40 passes a herd of naked GT 350's enroute to Le Mans in 1965. GT 106 would carry Ken Miles and Bruce McLaren for 45 laps through the French countryside until gearbox failure put them out of the hunt.

Givin' You The Willys #4

The Jeffries, Walker & Wilie A/Gas Willys complete with Californian licence plate. I wonder how far they would have gone before a cop spotted the drag chute and slicks hanging a foot past the fenders ?

Cobras In Black And White

Just a bunch of period Cobra photos.

My apologies to the owners of these images as I can't recall where I found them.

Pit Stop #45

Kids love having their picture taken with injected, altered coupes.

Comic Book Combat

The battle was as intense on the homefront newstands as it was in the skies over Korea.
