Kandy In A Kan

Since I had the 'ol scanner scanning, I thought I'd post up this gem from a slightly tattered issue of Car Craft dated March 1959. There is an age old debate in custom circles as to whether candy, or indeed custom, was spelt with a k. You'll notice that Joe was happy to market his with a plain old c which opens up another kan of worms.

Givin' You The Willys #18

Bogan Renfroe's "Cat Skinner" 1940 Willys

Powered by a hi-riser 427 Ford purchased from Phil Bonner, Renfroe raced the Willys until the end of 1966 when he replaced it with Cat Skinner II
, another 1940 Willys. The name "Cat Skinner" came from Renfroe's occupation as a bulldozer driver, otherwise known as cat skinners.
